Tailored to meet the unique needs of leading Chinese OEMs by Aptiv’s local team, the smart camera is based on a Chinese automotive-grade SoC and powered by the Wind River Kaiwu RTOS.  The solution integrates world-class vision perception technology from StradVision and is engineered to meet stringent global automotive safety requirements.

  • Compliance with top safety standards:  The smart camera fully meets the stringent requirements of Euro NCAP 2026 five-star safety ratings, helping Chinese automakers meet Europe’s high market-entry standards.
  • Compact, cost-effective design: A single-SoC architecture with an integrated MCU reduces hardware size by 20% and power consumption by 20%, enabling lower system bill of materials (BOM) costs while maintaining high performance.
  • Superior perception and computing power: Equipped with a high-performance Chinese SoC, an 8MP camera with 120° field of view, and industry-leading vision perception technology from StradVision, the solution delivers significantly enhanced computing capability and sensing accuracy.
  • Robust safety software foundation: Powered by Wind River Kaiwu RTOS, the solution provides a secure foundation for advanced safety algorithms, ensuring real-time performance and system stability.
  • Algorithm tuning: Developed through close collaboration between Aptiv China and global engineering teams, the algorithms are optimized for European traffic conditions, road environments and driving habits.
