Stellantis Names Aptiv a Best Supplier for 2021

Stellantis this week recognized Aptiv as a Best Supplier of 2021 in the Corporate Social Responsibility category at its annual Supplier Awards. The honor acknowledges the operational excellence of our team and the exceptional level of performance we delivered in 2021.

The Corporate Social Responsibility award distinguishes Aptiv for our environmental, social and ethical performance. In particular, the award recognizes our “excellent” EcoVadis score and our commitment to being carbon-neutral by 2040.

Our Commercial Excellence & Strategy team and our Sustainability team met with Stellantis representatives multiple times in 2021 as part of a knowledge-sharing collaboration to review our sustainability plan and opportunities we identified to reduce the carbon footprint of various products.

Aptiv’s mission aligns with Stellantis’s commitment to cut its carbon emissions in half by 2030. At Aptiv, we are working to reduce our own carbon emissions by 25 percent by 2025 and have established aggressive plans to ensure that all of our operations are 100 percent powered by renewable energy by 2030.

Aptiv’s work with Stellantis encompasses all of our business segments, including high-voltage solutions that contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and the development and adoption of vehicle electrification and next-generation advanced safety systems that save lives. We are proud of our longstanding and productive collaboration with Stellantis, which was Aptiv’s largest customer in 2021. We congratulate the company on its second annual Supplier Awards event and thank Stellantis for the honor and privilege of being selected.

This award shines a light on the sustainable strategy at the heart of Aptiv. Our success emanates from a strong, sustainable business model that makes the world a better place. Our people are united across the world by the drive to always do the right thing, the right way, and by our shared mission to deliver safer, greener and more connected technologies that enable the sustainable future of mobility.
