Zonal architecture enables optimized wiring and new connectors as well as higher levels of harness automation. Today’s vehicles are adding more functionality and are creating much more data. Modular connection systems enable the alignment of controller I/Os and harness subassemblies to create fully automated harness subassemblies. Aptiv’s modular connection systems maximize flexibility, scalability and standardization throughout the vehicle. Aptiv is working on various concepts including unsealed and sealed versions, in-line and connector and headers versions.

Our modular connectors accommodate various modules, terminals, and high-speed data ports to maximize scalability without requiring multiple new connector designs.
