Technical Center Wuppertal

Our Wuppertal Technical Center is the European headquarters for all Aptiv segments and is located in the heart of one of Europe’s most important industrial regions. The Wuppertal Technical Center dates back to the foundation of Reinshagen und Hüttenhoff in 1874 and is home to almost 1,000 professionals, including engineers, technicians and managers.

Wuppertal is spearheading the Smart Vehicle Architecture™ vision. Our engineers develop holistic systems for the vehicles of today and tomorrow, including the development of controllers for autonomous driving, sensors such as cameras and radars, as well as charging systems and technologies for power and data distribution.

Our team is engaged in international, publicly funded research projects for automated driving and e-mobility, in partnership with the Universities of North Rhine-Westphalia, to develop advanced technologies for sustainable mobility.
